If your tropical plants have been vacationing outdoors for the summer, now is the time to bring them back in. But before you move them indoors make sure you're not bringing outdoor critters with them.
Give your plant a through check-up. Look for aphids, mites and other pests. As a safeguard we recommend spraying your plants. You can't always detect tiny insects. Spray with an organic insecticidal or homemade soap. If necessary repot your tropical plant in a container one size larger than the current one. Use sterile soil specific for tropical indoor plants. Use an all-purpose organic fertilizer to help settle the plant into the new pot and your tropical will be ready for winter, pest and disease free.
Spray Mix:
mix water with 1 Tbsp. liquid soap and 1tsp corn oil in a 500ml clean spray bottle. Spray plant thoroughly and make sure to get under those leaves!
