This year in the nursery we are pleased to offer the ever trendy and fun obelisk for sale. Both functional and fun they are a great addition to any garden. As well as having the traditional cedar color, we also have striking colors such as purple, blue, orange, and chartreuse. Perfect for growing beans, clematis, nasturtiums, or any other climber. We've chosen to use this wonderful structure and incorporate it into our weekend project, "The Edible Tower."

You will need:
1 funky obelisk, your favourite color
1 large durracotta or terracotta planter, a good size is 27" x 18"
Good soil, enough to fill the pot
1 package nasturtium seeds
1-package scarlet runner beans
3 cherry tomatoes
3-lettuce plants, green variety
3 strawberry plants

How to:
1. Fill container with soil. To lighten the weight fill the bottom 1/2 with styrafome.
2. Secure Obelisk.
3. Plant three nasturtiums and three scarlet runners around inside base of obelisk.
4. Alternately plant cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and strawberries around edge of the container, on outside of obelisk.
5. Water well, place in sunny warm spot, and keep watered throughout the summer.
6. For added fun incorporate pansies, parsley, peppers, creeping thyme.
