Placemats always dress up any table. Find some fabric you love, it’s easy to create something just as nice as you see in the department stores!

What you will need:
    fabric (anything washable will do)
    quilt batting

What to do:
Cut 2 pieces of fabric, 16 ½ x 11 ½ . Cut the batting the same size. Place fabric pieces right sides together, and pin the batting to the wrong side.

Stitch all the way around, leaving a couple of inches open for turning. I used ½ inch seam allowances. Turn, trim, and clip corners. Press. Close the opening. Edge stitch.

You can quilt the top any style you would like.

These placemats are 16"x11" when finished.
