Nothing beats an herb planter to pick and add flavour to your life. Plant and enjoy all summer long, adds zip and zing to all your meal needs, and hey it looks great. Here is an easy way to grow herbs all season, even in the smallest of spaces!
What you will need:
5 kinds of various herbs, 4' size, may we recommend rosemary, savoury, oregano, thyme, sage, dill, or chervil!
1 bag of top quality topsoil.
1 cedar planter, about 8' wide by 24' long.
A few pansies for colour!
What to do:
- Fill cedar container part way with top quality soil.
- Gently place plants in to container, place the taller herbs, such as rosemary and dill at the back, and the smaller such as thyme at the front.
- Top up with topsoil, and water well.
- Place in a sunny spot! This box can be placed on a patio, or mounted under a window, or off the edge of the balcony rail! Watch for next month’s issue, we’ll show you how to make a great trellis to mount it on!
